Medevio Helps Patients with Migraines

Prague 5.6.2024

Medevio, the fastest-growing telemedicine platform in the Czech Republic, launches a new feature for migraine patients. Stable migraine patients undergoing biological treatment and attending regular check-ups at headache treatment centers can now join a pilot project for remote monitoring of migraine patients.

With remote monitoring, patients fill out their health status at designated intervals along with a digitized headache diary on their PC or smartphone. The patient's health history and diary records are then available both to the patient directly within the app and are automatically sent to the attending physician at the headache treatment center.

The platform also includes an interactive chat feature that allows patients to communicate with their doctor, enabling the detection of any deterioration in the patient's condition much earlier than during regular quarterly check-ups.

Thanks to automatic scoring evaluations and the simple transfer of results to outpatient and hospital programs, Medevio saves time not only for patients but also for doctors who previously had to manually evaluate paper diaries during regular visits.

In addition to remote monitoring, Medevio also launches an interface for the electronic "eRequest" – a validated recommendation for biological treatment, which the outpatient neurologist generates and sends directly through Medevio to the nearest headache treatment center. All of this is automated, eliminating the need for patient handling and scheduling.

Migraine patients can independently join the project by downloading the diary app at www.medevio.eu/migraine. In the app, they can verify whether their attending physician is participating in the project.
